RSVP for Fig Day now!

Dear Valued Members,

In an earlier communication we asked you to join our Member Facebook Group “Weekly FIG Think Tank”. We are receiving tons of valuable feedback and hope everyone can give us feedback no matter if it is Facebook or the old fashioned note. One of our top request has been to continue through Winter. We are excited to announce we have commitments from local farms to grow in high tunnels, low tunnels and greenhouses! We will fill the gaps with sustainably grown regional produce from further southeast, USA. This also means we will try and source citrus!

We are also taking your advice and offering produce week to week without commitment. Just add a Sprout, Garden or Harvest bag to your cart, and skip a week whenever you need. There will be a minimum order amount to qualify for free delivery though. Details are coming soon. Thanks to all the members that helped us talk through these improvements!

Did you know we include instructions to receive free samples from our online market, coupons and sale information, tips, meal plans, produce descriptions and other helpful information in a weekly email newsletter? That’s right, if you are not reading our e-newsletter you’re missing out! It is being sent to everyone so if you’ve missed it, check your spam folder or search “Weekly Fig” in email search. Move an email from the Spam/Promotions to your inbox and this should prevent Weekly Fig spam filtering in the future.

imageDid you see our “Save the Date” announcement last week? Weekly Fig is super excited to host a harvest festival to say thank you for being part of Chattanooga’s food revolution. We want to give the membership an opportunity to meet the farmers and artisans and have fun. You will also be able to try lots of samples so you can taste before you buy in the Weekly Fig Market. This event also doubles as a membership drive so invite your friends and neighbors to a fun day of music, food, activities and community. Please help your local farmers and artisans by informing anyone that appreciates high quality food and convenience. So far, we’ve grown only by word of mouth and seek your help to make Weekly Fig better!

As a reminder, the first annual appreciation event and membership drive will be held on October 22nd, image2016  from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Everlee Farm at 7628 Davidson Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421. You will experience food samples, live music, games for all ages, competitions and prizes. Tickets are only $5 for adults and $2 for children (12 and under) to cover the event costs. Tickets purchased in advance will be put into a drawing for prizes. Get your ticket here.

If you love being involved, we could use volunteers of all kinds. It takes a lot of love to pull off a big event and we would surely accept any help from those of you that enjoy: photography, face painting, competition judging, playing music, activity/game facilitators, decorating, setup and teardown, parking management, vendor hospitality and any other ideas you want to contribute! If you can help in any way, for any duration, please send an email to

Thank you so much for being part of this growing community. We are really excited to meet you all in person on October 22nd!
